Darwin for 3ds max | 550 Mb
On the CD, you'll find a complete set of arms, legs, bodies, heads, flippers, fins, beaks, teeth, hands, feet, hooves, tongues, horns, tails and wings which can be adapted, combined and evolved to produce the full range of vertebrate life.
When you design in 3DS Max or any other package, you often start with Primitives - simple cubes, spheres, pyramids and cylinders which can be combined and manipulated to produce more complex objects.
These Primitives, with their simple shapes and defined edges, are ideal for producing man-made objects. However, when it comes to creating lifelike creatures, their limitations become obvious very quickly.
What's more, all the flexible body parts contain ready - skinned bones for animation. Your creature will be ready to start walking - or whatever you want it to do - almost from the moment you've finished building it. A realistically shaped skeleton lets you see exactly how your creature will move in real time - even if you've hidden the mesh itself to improve your PC's update time.
Darwin also comes complete with a considerable texture library containing photographs of the skins of hundreds of creatures. You can use these for inspiration, to directly texture your creations or you can combine them to produce new alien skins of your own. The possibilities are endless.
